Our Plan to Advance Equity and Fairness
The social unrest of 2020 called us to look deeper into our business to see how we could accelerate fairness at Bechtel. Too many of our colleagues, partners, customers, and neighbors continued to experience racism, discrimination, and bias in their daily lives, their workplaces, and their communities.
Creating a Culture of Inclusion
Business Resource Groups provide strategic support to the enterprise. Integrated into our global D&I strategy, these groups help our organization better understand the needs of our customer base and our employees, foster innovation through a diverse workforce, and create an inclusive culture. They also provide individuals the opportunity to build professional relationships, expand personal networks, develop leadership skills, and feel part of a community with a sense of belonging.
We are approaching our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy with a new sense of urgency—not as an initiative, but for long-term sustainability, managing it with the same focus on results that we bring to our projects. We have organized our efforts into a three-pillar action plan.
